The mHealth app market is growing rapidly. Market Intel Reports estimates that the mHealth market will account for nearly $18 Billion in 2016 alone and according to an article in the Economist, global revenues for m-health will reach $21.5 billion in 2018. Yet despite the proliferation of mHealth apps and the opportunity to create truly useful apps for health consumers, it appears that hospitals are failing to create the apps that their consumers really want.
Short, illustrated animations of a medical device’s instructions for use can be an effective way to increase engagement of the viewer as well as their understanding of how to use the product. Canadian medical device company Trudell Medical understands this and hired me to create several short animations of their instructions for use for several of their products.
I’ve been working with Canadian medical device company, Trudell Medical for the last couple of months to create several animated explainer videos to explain the benefits of their AeroChamber Plus* Flow-Vu* chamber for asthma use and animated instructional videos to show proper use of their products.

As part of the organizing committee for Startup Weekend Sacramento: Elk Grove Edition, November 13 – 15, I created a couple of short animated video teasers to help promote the event.
I recently completed my most recent animated infographic video project – an explainer video for digital health company, Orb Health. It was a pleasure to work with the team at Orb to co-write the script, ideate visuals, and create the graphics and animation for the video and I’m looking forward to partnering on future projects with the team to help transform healthcare and digital health.
