GR0QuHVg_400x400If you spend any time at the plethora of startup events in the Sacramento region you’ll know that there’s a palpable excitement and buzz about the startup community in Sacramento.

Coworking spaces are flourishing and popping up all over the region. The calendar is full of startup-related events every week, including Startup Grind, Beer and Geeks, monthly meetups for various developers such as Sacramento Javascript, Code for Sacramento Civic Hack nights, and more. Factor in additional startup-focused events such as Startup Weekends, hack-a-thons like the recent California Green Gov Challenge and it starts getting tough to keep track of all the events, resources, and news around the startup and entrepreneurial scene here in Sacramento.

With that in mind, along with the recent shuttering of SARTA, I hit on the idea of a website dedicated to covering news, events, and resources for the Sacramento startup community. The result is – Sacramento Startup News, Events, & Resources. It’s still very much in its infancy, and there’s a lot to cover, but over the next few weeks I hope to add a few more people to the team to help cover startup news in the Sacramento and be a resource for entrepreneurs, businesses, investors, and stakeholders in the Sacramento startup community.

If you’re interested in growing or even just following the startup scene here in the Sacramento region, check out the website, follow @SacStartup on Twitter, and like StartupSac on Facebook.
